What is the St. James Foundation of North Carolina?
The St. James Foundation of North Carolina (SJFNC) is structured as an endowment fund within a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and is entirely unique from all other St. James charities. The Foundation is dedicated to strengthening the Brunswick County community by investing in education. It provides grants that support academic, technical, and career-based programs benefiting students in Brunswick County.

Why do we need another charitable organization in St. James? Other charitable organizations within St. James typically raise and distribute funds within the same year to meet immediate needs. In contrast, the SJFNC invests donations to generate sustainable, long-term income. The principal is preserved, and only investment earnings are distributed annually.
