The St. James Foundation of North Carolina was established to support the long-term educational needs of Brunswick County students.  The St. James Service Club accepted a donation from the three families that developed St. James Plantation and initiated the foundation.

In 2024, the St. James Foundation of North Carolina incorporated as a 501(c)3 and is governed by its own Board of Directors.

• It allows us to accept ordinary direct donations and Required Minimum Distributions (RMD) and Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCD) from IRA’s.

• We are 100% focused on Brunswick County educational needs.

• All donations to the foundation are invested and held in perpetuity.

We are funded by contributions from the community. Grants are awarded annually to Brunswick County Educational Programs.
